Track

Aydon had wanted to do track last year but he decided to work instead to earn money for his Africa trip.  This was his first year getting to do track and wanted to try pole vault and hurdles.  The coaches had him run the 400m race and he did not enjoy it but he did it.  

Once again, Ty joined track to try to get faster for football (and his friends do track).  Again, he ran the 100m dash every meet and ran the 200m several times as well.  He improved each meet too.  

The younger two did Junior High track and did several events as well.

Uncle Bubba had a layover in Phoenix and my parents met him down there for dinner and hung out for a few hours.

Ty's friend Avery got a new hot tub and had all his friends over to try it out!

Prom

Aydon asked Jocelyn Moss to prom again.  His sign said, "Lasy time was so nice so can we do prom twice?  He used red, black and gold since the theme of prom was Las Vegas Casino.  He got the inside scoop on her favorite treats when her brother Benny was over playing with Drew and took her those.

She answered him with a sign that said, I would be soda-lighted to go to prom with you with some Jones Blueberry Lemonade.  He loved it and kept it hid in his mini fridge in his room.

Ty is a sophomore but was asked by a senior, Heather Hatch.  They are all in track together and were chatting about it and he was super excited about the thought of getting to go to prom so he was stoked when she asked.  When we were taking pictures Virginia Hatch said, I wish we had a picture from when we used to walk at the church together with them.  

The kids had gone to a movie Thursday night since they had the Winslow Invitational Track meet on Friday and wouldn't get to do anything and then on Saturday morning they went with a group to an escape room in Flagstaff and had lunch at Your Pie.  They said they had a lot of fun.  They came home and were able to get ready for a couple of hours and then we met at the LaPosada to get pictures.  I made it clear to the boys this year that I wanted to knwo when and where pictures were since I didn't get to go last time.  Shannan wasn't doing prom pictures so I wanted to make sure to get some good shots of them and their dates.

Pictures got out of order as I was adding them and it's too much time to go back and get them in order.

Ty was trying to flex in every picture and he finally go to!

Virginia is the sweetest and has made all the corsages and boutenierre's for the group the past two years.  What a talent she has and such a sweet friend to do that for us.

Aydon wanted to recreate from last year.

Presley was so excited to go to the "dance".  She was clapping and got mad at me when I wasn't clapping along with the music.  Then she was so disappointed that she didn't get to see her brothers dancing.  She also didn't want to be left out of pictures even though we tried to pull her out a couple of times.
