Halloween

I made sugar cookies and Drew was the only one interested in helping decorate them.  We decided to decorate them at Granny's while she was helping Zack with his school project.
They had to decorate an apple.  Zack colored two sheets while Granny helped prep the apples.  I was busy frosting cookies but it looks like lots of fun using all that candy to decorate it.
They made Frankenstein and Zack wanted a jack-o-lantern apple as well.

I think they did a great job.  Zack got 2nd place to a spider apple.
Aydon had decided to be a secret agent for Halloween.  Ty was planning on being a ninja turtle and then two days before Halloween decided to be a secret agent too.  Aydon ended up skipping Halloween to go deer hunting though.
Drew  originally wanted to be Captain America and I really wanted him to be hulk but he was the orange ninja turtle.
I had some brown sweat pants I would've had him wear, I think it would've been awesome!

Zack was planning on being Optimus Prime but saw the cape for Batman and that changed his mind.  Preston took a great picture of him when we went to dress him at school but I accidentally deleted it.  :(

Ty came home from school and changed immediately.  I told him if he didn't stay dressed up he couldn't get candy and he toldhis dad he's too big to go trick-or-treating.  Umm, stop!  You're not too old and gonna make me cry.  Don't grow up yet.  But he didn't and he didn't care.  Instead he got to be the ball boy for the Varsity game and that can make any kids day!

So glad he had fun, even it wasn't trick-or-treating.  I'm hoping next year he'll be interested since Aydon still wants to trick-or-treat.

2014 Football

Another football season done.  I was hoping to have a family picture taken this year.  Drew went dressed in his football shirt with his hair fixed but got shy when we got there.  I attempted walking without a crutch for the first time this day so I was still in my huge brace and didn't want that in the picture so we will just have to wait until next year for a football family picture.
Zack's 2nd year and he improved and didn't complain quite as much this year.  He played left guard next to his friend Brody and I think that helped.  He played linebacker when he played defense.  Their team went undefeated and got to play Snowflake, who was also undefeated, for the last game.  Preston was so excited to have a version of a 'superbowl' but it fell during fall break and we were missing three of our starters and we definitely missed them.  We lost a tough game so they ended their season 5-1.
Ty didn't play much offense this year.  He did run the ball a few times this season but didn't do as well as he did last year.  He played linebacker on defense and when Preston coached him up before games he did really well.  He really stepped up his game during playoffs & the championship.  They lost a close one to Snowflake on the last regular season game so they ended up with an 8-1 record and were Super Bowl Champions.
`
We knew going into this year this would be an off year just as it has been every other year.  I don't get it...such a group of talented boys but they just can't ever get it together.  They lost some close games and lost a close one to Snowflake on the last week of the season or else they would've made playoffs!  They ended their season 3-5.  Aydon played linebacker at the beginning of the season and did a great job.  For some reason, his coach moved him around in the second half of the season.  They moved him to outside linebacker for a couple of games and then used him as a defensive end as well.  He was pretty upset about it because he loves playing middle linebacker.  Finally for the last game they put him back to middle linebacker.  Here's to hoping it's another championship year next year!
As for Preston & I, with my knee surgery I had to take a step back from a lot of the things I usually do with football & to be honest I was pretty grateful.  There was too much drama and I don't know if I'll volunteer my time again next year which is hard for me because I love football.  I won't mind taking more time to help my boys and watch their practices instead of doing board work though.  Preston wants so bad to move up to coach Aydon & play for a championship but I continue to encourage him to stay with our little guys.  I can't believe all 4 boys will be in football next year!

SuperBowl Champions

For the second year in a row our Winslow Juniors have won the Championship!  Is it too early to say I'm already looking forward to our three peat?

 Sunshine made posters again.
On this one she put the teams names and numbers  on the Bulldog letters.
Ty picked the layout of his personalized sign.
Granny brought stuff to do the boys faces.  Aydon asked for his own number on his face.

The very first play from scrimmage, Blue Ridge ran for a touchdown.  Not gonna lie, got nervous but Uncle John's defense shut them down for the rest of the game, that.  At halftime the score was 22-8.

Looking at defensive coach, Uncle John, for the play call.

Aydon went down on the field during the second half to be the waterboy.  Here he is giving his brother a drink.

Breaking them out after the game.  1, 2, 3...CHAMPIONS!!!
