Once again, Preston wasn't going to be home on Christmas so we celebrated on Christmas Eve.
Around 5 am I heard a kid in the kitchen getting a bowl and going into the garage. I was tired, figured it was Drew getting cereal and if he needed me, he'd come wake me up so I went back to sleep. About 6:30 I can hear the boys coming in my room and then turning on our light. They had made us blueberry pancakes with blueberry syrup and whip cream on top, along with Orange Julius with an umbrella. It was DELICIOUS! It was the sweetest Christmas present! I absolutely loved it. Aydon had also stayed up late making us a card that got us all teary eyed. Drew also made a card since they didn't let him help make the pancackes.
Breakfast in bed as our Christmas gift from our four boys! Best gift ever!
I loved how they brought mine on my cutting board and Preston's on a cookie sheet. lol
Since we were up and we knew this was our "Christmas" we ate and then opened presents.
I didn't take many pictures and I didn't take pictures of the stuff Preston & I got so here's him in his new Oakley's. He got a new gun safe, a drill from my parents, a couple of new hats, I'm getting a new computer, a flash for my camera, perfume and clothes.
Drew wanted PieFace so we bought him showdown...they had fun trying it out right away.
All while I was playing with my new flash...you can see the difference in the two pictures!
My family had planned to eat gumbo, play cards and open presents in the evening. Everyone was able to be there to eat and spend time together. While we were playing cards, Gary & Vickey brought their gifts over. The boys were so excited!
I feel like I'm on the Jetson's now...no one walks in our house anymore. I got pictures of everyone on their hoverboard by themselves, except for Drew. oops
This was Drew's loot from everyone. He was so excited to get his own hunting pack from Sunshine! He loved his Pete the Cat book from the Sullivan's too.
He was soo excited to get a drone from the Sullivan's...he's been begging for one and I said no.
He loved the lava lamp we got him
Zack also wearing some new clothes
and the rest of his gifts. That bow and arrow Sunshine got him is one of his favorite things to play with.
Aydon's gifts...he's excited to learn French and for his new Coyote beanie the Baca's got him.
Mom & Dad hanging out.
Corey had to work & John had worked the previous night so they didn't come out until 5...after they had done Christmas Eve with her family.
Luke seemed to really like the lights and sounds of the toy we got him.
Zack's program
Ty's program
Drew's program
I loved that all the elementary's had the programs at the performing arts center this year...it's so much nicer and plenty of seating. Zack had a great program...we weren't super impressed with the other two. :(
One day during the break, the boys volunteered at the library running "reindeer games" for younger kids. Later that day, mom had her kids party at work and asked me to bring her grandkids. She went all out this year! Lots of fun crafts, chicken nuggets, decorating a rice crispy treat, a sugar cookie, cute little gring kabobs and santa kabobs, a goodie bag, popcorn, an elf hat, and helium balloons. The kids were loaded down!! They later had a blast deflating one of the balloons trying to get the squeaky voice by sucking in the helium.
Christmas day, we went to church and since we had already done all of our gifts we ended up taking down our tree. The boys were not happy with me but I also didn't want to do it alone, since they would be leaving the next morning to go ride their hoverboards down at the park in the valley with the DeSpain's. Preston ended up being in Belen for over 24 hours, but luckily his Aunt Earlene came and picked him up and he was able to spend Christmas with their family.
