Can I tell you how much I am loving football season this year?! For once, both of the boys are on a team together...that's one practice time (and dad coaches so if the little ones are napping or fussy...I don't have to go wrestle with them at practice) and one game!
To top that off, they are a GREAT team this year. We scrimmaged 4 teams in Round Valley and no one could even move the ball on Preston & John's defense. After the first two games this year I can already tell you they will be undefeated. They are so talented this year.
Aydon is playing fullback & linebacker. He has scored each game so far, makes some killer blocks when he's not running the ball & lights kids up on defense! It's amazing! Ty subs in on defense a lot. He usually plays linebacker & sometimes he gets put on the offensive line as a tackle. He is young so he's still learning but we are seeing improvement in just the couple of games we've had. Funny story...I told Ty I would pay him $5 a tackle as motivation for him to get aggressive and tackle someone. That game he mostly played the offensive line. After the game he told me, mom I tackled one guy. I had to tell him, sorry you don't get money because you're not supposed to tackle on offense. Silly boy.
