Rest of spring break

The first week of spring break I told the boys we had a list of chores to do and if we didn't finish them we weren't going on break.  ;)  It worked, all the chores got done!
Dragging all the dead weeds was the most important one.  They hook up the drag to the four wheeler and get it taken care of.  We also needed the baseball field done since it's that time again.  Preston let Ty drive the Tahoe to drag that one.  He was so excited.

We also got all our security cameras up before we left.  Aydon & Ty were lots of help, climbing all through the attic (which they think is so fun!) getting all the wires where they needed to be.
We had Mike Dean paint the front hood of the RV and buff and wax the RV before we left.  It looked much better all shined up.

Watching movies since we were plugged in at RV parks was a highlight for the boys!  We bought Jumanji so they were glued to that!

Presley was so good while we traveled!
The kids love going in the RV but it's lots of work for mom and dad!

After exploring the southern part of Arizona we headed to Gilbert to see Garrett's family.
Emmett was so sweet and was singing to her.
Presley loved Uncle Garrett!  She was talking to him!
We did dutch oven potatoes and grilled chicken for them the first night we were there.  It was a late dinner since Preston and Garrett went to workout.  The next morning I got to go with Veronica to one of her classes at the gym.  It was a great class but man oh man am I out of shape!  After hiking Sabino and that leg workout I was dead!
The next night we went to the Easter Pageant.

The boys went to visit Gary & Vickey at the pool to swim.  They swam for a couple of hours!  In fact, Preston and Garrett went to workout while they swam.
The boys wanted to stop at Bass Pro and they had their Easter backdrop up so we took a quick family picture.

The weather was nice so Presley got to wear one of the outfits we bought for her before she was even born!
After lunch with the family, we headed to Jumpstreet.  The kids (and men) had a blast playing.

In line for the Wipeout bars.  This one was so funny to watch.
Ty spent a ton of time in the basketball and even dunked with the help of the trampoline!

Sabino Canyon

I follow a hiking site on Instagram and have seen posts from Sabino Canyon.  It was one of the places I wanted to hike while in Tucson.  When Preston did a post, our high school friend, John Manthei, said he worked there so Preston called him up and we got a quick little tour of where John works and then we rode the tram up the canyon.

The "original supersoaker" as John called it.

Sabino was super packed and so we had to wait over an hour for our turn on the tram so we did a short hike around the visitor center.
We had teased Zack about having his leg up in a previous picture so he did this pose all vacation.  We came up on this tiny cactus and we laughed at how it looked like Zack's pose.

We ended up on an open top car on the tram ride up and it was bright midday and I was worried my sweet baby's head would get burnt but dad did a good job of keeping her shaded.

She was hungry by the time we got to the top so we rode back down a stop and found a shade bench we could feed her and then hike.

Preston and the boys checked out the nearby stream while I fed her.

We saw people wearing swim stuff on the tram and then we realized why...I guess this is where they were headed.
As we were hiking back from the tram tour we came up on some volunteers letting kids pan for garnets
and mica (which is magnetic)

1st they're swirled the sand
then used the magnets to get the mica.

Look at all the garnets!

It was super warm but it was fun to get some exercise.  We wanted to hike to the falls but realized as we were hiking back that we took the wrong tram to do that, we didn't know there were two different ones.
