Family Temple Trip

With Covid restricting capactiy the youth don't have any Temple trips planned but we wanted to make sure Drew had a chance to get to the Temple now that he has a recommend.  We made an appointment and hoped for the best for everyone to be able to make it.  We had invited Gary, Vickey & Aunt Judy but they couldn't make it so it was just our family.  It was so great to watch Aydon & Ty baptize each other and their brothers.  We snapped a quick picture of the boys on the way in and asked someone to snap a picture of our family on the way out.  We stopped by the Christus statue near the Temple that was placed sometime in the past year or so.  The sky was so perfectly clear and beautifully blue.  What a great afternoon!

 

New Yukon

Our old 2011 Yukon has 222,400 some miles on it and we figured even though it still ran good, we better get a newer vehicle since we travel so much.  

We had actually put a non refundable deposit down on a 2020 Yukon with 13,000 miles but the online compnay was terrible to work with and when Vickey saw this vehicle come up on auction we said if she could get us a better price we would switch up.  Luckily she was able to save us a few thousand dollars on a 2019 with 17,000 miles.  You can't get DVD players in the new ones right now because they can't get the chips for them so we were happy to go with an older one to get the DVD player.  It had everything we wanted and man is it fancy!  I feel like it rides so much better and I loved how nice our old one rode.  We can't wait to go on another trip!

Zack ditched school so he could go check out the new vehicle and he got us all set up when we got home.  This little pig LOVES In-n-Out so that's where we had lunch.

Ty's letterjacket

Ty picked out his letterjacket a few months back.  Once it came we used 3 different places to order patches and as soon as they were all in Granny Doris sewed them on.  It got done just in time for this awful cold snap that we are having.
