We're going to Disneyland!

Ok, we already went but that's what I told the boys every morning.  Aydon told me, Mom I think you're overdoing it!  What?!
We had planned this trip knowing the weather would be perfect and hoping the crowds wouldn't be too bad.  Well we lucked out on both.  Actually our last day was super crowded but we had hit almost all of the rides already so we were able to ride the last few rides and our favorites one more time.
We traumatized the boys the 2nd day.  We went on Space Mountain as the first ride of the day and it scared them pretty bad.  Aydon was very upset and for the rest of the day Ty would ask if the ride we were going on was gonna go sideways.  But the next day they both wanted to go on it again (we didn't).  Their favorite was Pirates of the Caribbean of course.  We rode it 3 times.
They were decorated for Christmas so we got to visit Santa and his reindeer in training while we were there too.
We saw lots of characters while we were there.  We lucked out on our first morning and waited only 5 minutes to see Mickey.  Of course Zachary was afraid of all of them but it made for great pictures.  He wouldn't take his eyes off of them and I laugh at every one of them.
Preston and I enjoyed the roller coaster & the Tower of Terror at California Adventures.  Since his parents went we were able to ride with the boys and each other a lot since someone was there to help with Zach.
We got to Cali early enough to go to the beach.  It was Zach's first time at the beach.  The older boys played in the sand but Zach didn't have much to do with it.
We had a blast, rode all the rides, broke the umbrella stroller (finally!) and wore our poor little feetsies out!  I longed for my jacuzzi tub each night so that was the first thing we did when we got home!

Happy Halloween from the BatCave

I got the love of Halloween from my mom.  She's always gone all out making our costumes every year.  We decided last year to be characters from Batman.  The boys scared me...Aydon wanted to be the Bumblebee Transformer and Ty wanted to be an elephant but we were able to talk them into being Batman & Robin still.  Preston had options of being Two Face, Riddler or Joker and he chose Joker.  Aydon wanted me to be Catwoman but it was so much easier to be Batgirl.  Zach got to use a hand-me-down penguin costume from Ty a few years ago so it worked out perfect!
This year I bought little pumpkins for the boys to paint on while dad worked on carving the jack-o-lantern but it didn't work out that we got to do it on the same night.  So the boys took their turns painting their pumpkins and then we all helped carve our jack-o-lantern.  Zach was on a sugar high that night and was running on top of the dining room table, helping dad pull out the insides and then he tried dumping them in his shoe that we had taken off and was sitting on top of the table.  He thinks he's a big boy like his brothers and wants to do everything they do so he helped poke out the pattern too.
On Wednesday Preston & I got to dress up and go to a party for the youth at our Church.  Everyone loved Preston's costume and thought he looked pretty scary.  We had fun!
Friday was Aydon's school party and they had a costume parade.  His teacher told us his brothers could go dressed up too so they enjoyed an extra day of being in their costumes.  Aydon's favorite part of his Halloween party at school was the store.  I guess their teacher gave them tickets they could buy little toys with and Aydon, being the good kid he is, bought Ty some toys too.  He's such a great big brother!
On Halloween we only went to our Church Trunk-or-Treat because Dad had to work.  We went to visit Granny & Pappaw after that(so Mom could watch a little of the LSU game).  The boys helped Granny pass out toys to the trick-or-treaters.  Pretty sure they had more fun doing that then getting candy.  They've never done that so it was fun to watch them wait for the trick-or-treaters.
It felt like Halloween all week but we sure enjoyed all of it!  Now, what will we be next year??

LSU FOOTBALL...GEAUX TIGERS!!

It's the most wonderful time of the year!! LSU Football!! Can I just say how much I love that Preston is as big a fan as the rest of my family with LSU football. We decided we needed new matching football shirts so we got those in the mail this week so we are ready for the games to begin.
I'm trying to figure out what we need to do on our part for LSU to have a great season:

2003-Pregnant with Aydon, we went to watch LSU vs. Arizona. 13-1 National Champions.

2005-Pregnant with Ty, we went to watch ASU vs. LSU at ASU due to Hurricane Katrina. 11-2 Won the Peach Bowl.
2007-We went to Louisiana and got to watch a game at Tiger Stadium, tour the locker room & all that fun stuff, watched College Game Day live, saw the new Mike the Tiger, ended up pregnant with Zach. 12-2 National Champions.
2009-Time to get pregnant and figure out how to get to a game this year so LSU can have another awesome season.

Fossil Creek

Like Preston said on the way home...How have we not known about this place?! We had someone at church tell us they loved going to Fossil Creek. We've seen the sign for the road but never heard anything about this place. Well, we must've been the last to know because it was crowded!! When we started out our day, our plan was to check this place out but I was thinking we would just stick our feet in the water, throw some rocks, etc. It took a good 30 minutes to get down the mountain (I don't get carsick very easy but looking down that mountainside I was about to break into Ty's carsick medicine) and after looking for a spot to stop for about 45 minutes we decided we couldn't leave without jumping in. At the top of the mountain where we started it was 70 some degrees and down at the creek it was 98 degrees at 4pm! The water felt soo good! We loved how clear it was. It wasn't too deep either but we did have to watch the kids with the current.
The spot we stopped at had a rope swing so of course Aydon & I had to try that out! Ty is still too young, he was too scared to try it.
Zach is a great water baby. He never cries over the temperature of the water and loves to get in and splash too!
We will definitely be planning a trip back to this place!
