She had been attempting to crawl but she full on crawled to mom on July 24 at only 7 months and 1.5 weeks old. She was standing in her crib before she started crawling. I had to stop putting her in there for a week until we had the time to lower it. After it got lowered, I started putting her in there for naps (when she was tired and letting her cry it out) and sleeping on her own at night. She did so good immediately...she was ready for it, not mom and dad though! She now takes 2-3 hour naps and only wakes up once or twice to nurse at night, even sleeping 8 hours the week before 8 months. Right after she started crawling, she started standing. She crawled to anyone or anything and would pull herself up. She is already trying to cruise along the furniture. She started eating the meltable yogurts and puffs. We've tried scrambled eggs, mashed potatoes and a few other foods but only mashed potatoes is something she's interested in right now. Just the week before turning 8 months she started showing no interest in pureed foods and finally started eating table foods. She's had spaghetti, avocado, string cheese, black beans and has liked all of it so far. She started discovering her voice when we were at Lake Powell but now she's trying to "talk". She waves up her arms up and down all the time but I'm trying to make her do it to say hi & bye now. The boys can really get a good belly laugh out of her now and it's so fun to see and hear. She weighs 17 pounds now. She loves things with hands...snapping, clapping, she loves to do patty cake, itsy bitsy spider and claps her hands and waves them up and down. Her first tooth, bottom left finally broke through 8/12/18.
She drives all of us crazy the way she eats. She always looks off to her left side. We can spin her chair and she will still turn as you can see.
Trying out the trampoline for the first time with the boys. She loved it.
Up on all fours trying to figure out how to crawl.
Wearing the outfit Sunshine got her.
Eating at Granny's
She's all over the place now.
She's still so lovable at naptime though
This banana toothbrush is a great teething toy right now.
Trying otu the new slide at the creek with Drew
She was loving on her dada and melted his heart as you can see by his smile.
I gave her this lightweight blanket in her crib when I lay her down. She's learning how to use it to comfort herself to go to sleep.
She LOVES driving! We spend lots of time in the vehicle on the go now so she gets to drive quite often.
She started standing and pulling herself up trying to cruise along furniture as soon as she learned to crawl. It's all happening too fast.
She is quiet during the 1st hour of church but the next two hours are spent trying to keep her quiet. This is also the last picture I have of her using her pacifier. She quit it on her own.
She hadn't shown much interest in any table foods and then she went a couple of days of no longer showing interest in pureed baby foods so we started trying table food again and she's ready. Here she is eating spaghetti. She loved avocado that we had the next night.
She loves to clap and trying to wave. We play lots of patty cake and Ty sings the song about the alligator snapping the monkey out of the tree and she gets quite a kick out of that.
