LSU Bowl Game

18 hour drive is a long time in the vehicle, we got bored!
We got to Houston at 3pm and the game started at 8 so we just barely had time to freshen up and then head to the stadium.
My dad let us borrow his LSU flags.
In front of NRG Stadium.  It is similar to the Cardinal's stadium but I liked this one much better.  Doesn't look so much like a UFO with windows.
We were trying to find a place to eat but we ended up at the spot where the players entered the stadium so we hung out waiting for them instead.

We were able to see them bring in the trophy for the winner.
LSU game, Saints/Cowboys game, Hockey game were all nosebleed seats...we weren't doing that again!  6th row at the 40 yard line!  Best seats I've ever had.  We were stoked about our seats, can you see it in our faces?
Brandon Harris (QB, #6) talking to David Pollack (analyst)
The humidity did a number on my hair!

All the ESPN Analysts...Jesse Palmer, David Pollack, Maria Taylor
Coach Miles and the team warming up
They presented awards to some guys.
The only one we knew was Donald Driver, Green Bay receiver.
Team captains, # 38 Jamie Keehn, punter; #45 Deion Jones, linebakcer; #7 Leonard Fournette, running back; #74 Vadal Alexander, OT.
The guy wearing the MNF Crew shirt looked so familiar, they must've shown him on TV several times.

#82 was watching his replay of his touchdown on big screen.

The backs sat in front of us so we got to see them chatting after every offensive series like this.  #5 Derrius Guice & #34 DarrelWilliams.  #44 JD Moore (who was hurt) is in the warm-ups.

 Preston spotted Karl Malone.
His son was #63 KJ Malone, OG.
Leonard Fournette was the game MVP with his 5 TDs for 212 yards.  His 5 touchdowns set an LSU record for a bowl game.

 #44 JD Moore
 #83 Travin Dural
This shot kind of makes up for my camera messing up as the team walked down the hill in Baton Rouge earlier this year.
 #18 Tre'Davious White
#33 Jamal Adams

 #82 DJ Clark
#49 Arden Key, DE
 LSU Won 56-27
We had a blast!

Christmas

We had planned to have navajo tacos and open presents at our house on Christmas Eve with all the Sullivan side of the family.  Since Preston had laid off to go snowboarding with Garrett earlier in the week, he was going to have to go to work soon after we opened gifts.  With that, we had to open our family gifts before everyone got here.
These two got remote control cars!

Ty got a mini replica LSU helmet to go in his LSU room!  He was so excited!
Drew picked this outfit out at the Nike store and we told him we'd buy it but it was going to be a present and he couldn't wait to put them on!  I then decided to put the camera down but Drew wanted to take a few pictures so here's a few he got.
Daddy's new watch

Daddy's 2 new shoes mommy surprised him with.

Then craziness happened!  16 people to eat & open presents.  Normally we go where everyone can see what we got but with that many people, it didn't quite work that way.  Mom & Dad spoiled EVERYONE like they always do!
The Baca's got the boys LSU pajama pants & this game, Bounce Off!  It was so sweet and thoughtful of them to include our kids! (Last Drew picture)
These are the gifts we got Ty...the only thing he asked for was a new scooter.  We got him new clothes, new shoes & a book about the body.
Drew had given us a list in early November and we were able to get most of what he wanted.  Drew got lots of sweats...that's all the kid wants to wear.  He has a favorite pair of Nike sweats that are black with blue & white and he asked for another pair of those (he got orange instead).  He did get a couple of nice long sleeve shirts (he hates winter clothes and doesn't want to wear long sleeves or pants) to go with his jeans mom forces him to wear a couple of times a week.  :) He also got some skates to go along with clothes, shoes and a new book too.
Aydon got new clothes, shoes, a Ranger's Apprentice book he placed in my cart on Amazon.  :)  He also asked for a whittling kit so we got that for him.  Here's to hoping we don't end up in the ER with a sliced thumb!

Zack asked for a new TV and an iPod.  So he had a TV wrapped up but on the last day of school, Granny Vickey handed down a tv to us so we gave it to Aydon and Zack cried and cried because he wanted a new tv.  I told Preston we should just let him open up his gift early so we let him since he was so sad.  He got new clothes, shoes and a book about the weather (because he is always asking what the weather is going to be like).  Side note:  He got a tablet last year and continues to ask for an iPod.  Well during Christmas break, his tablet messed up and we had a protection plan on it so we used the money from the protection plan and he is using some of his savings to buy his own iPod.  After I told him he had to pay for the remainder of the difference he didn't really want an iPod anymore but after looking at the different tablets he decided he would.  I was glad that he was able to make his own decision and hopefully with spending his own money he will take extra good care of it!
Preston was spoiled!  He got 3 new pair of shoes, lots of workout clothes, 4 new shirts & his watch.
I picked out myself some new LSU gear and Preston got me lots of new workout clothes (I think he's trying to hint to me) ;)
I've also been asking for a ring for my right hand but haven't found one.  I'd always been interested in a mother's ring but didn't like the birthstones of my boys all together.  I found stackable rings instead and I love it!  Zack keeps asking if he can wear his name.  :)
The best present of all though is the gift we got for each other...40 yard line, 6th row tickets to LSU vs Texas Teach in Houston, Texas on the 29th!  Can't wait!
Aydon's gifts from the Sullivan's included new clothes, LSU stuff, socks, a La'el Collins #71 (LSU alumni) signed Cowboys helmet, leather working tools and a new hooded towel (they all got ninja turtle towels!).  (LSU pajama pants from Baca's, Native blanket from Bowman's)
Ty got a black beanbag chair, an LSU alarm clock for his room, clothes, LSU stuff, paracord bracelet making kit and a camo padded seat cushion for sporting events.

Zack got a Zebra bean bag chair, clothes, LSU slippers, more LSU stuff, and a Lighted Drawing lamp, nightvision binoculars.
Drew got a homemade Pete the Cat (with all different color shoes!) and 3 new Pete the Cat books...his favorite!!  He got a pointer that shows the LSU design on the wall, an LSU fan, LSU football, nightvision binoculars & a Mickey Mouse toaster (pretty sure it's for the family again but he claims it :))
Preston got some new headphones, LSU gear, and Cowboys gear from the Sullivan's!
I got a new Diamondback's jacket that will be perfect for baseball season!  I got new LSU shopping bags, LSU football yard decoration, capri's and can you see the most perfect shirt in the entire world right there...Mickey Mouse and LSU!  :)  I also got lots of LSU necklaces, a matching earring set & LSU bracelet.
Sunshine bought all the boys these awesome LSU Trunks!  They all love them and put them to use right away.  Great gift!
She bought me an LSU Dooney & Bourke!  Perfect!  Shawna got Preston the most deadly nerf gun I've seen!  He hit me with it in my ribs and it was painful!  She also paid for our rooms at the Hockey game.
Mom also got me these LSU kitchen accessories!
Here's Aydon trying out the Mickey Mouse toaster!
Vickey had bought me some LSU workout pants while in Louisiana & some fleur de lis sandals a couple of months back but she said she couldn't resist when she saw this!
A new purse!  I love it!
The DeSpain's got the boys a new trampoline.  We go through trampoline's like crazy but it is their favorite thing to do and they all get along and play together so well so I'm glad she got them this one.  It's been a couple of months since they had one so we put it together and they were so happy.  Preston got a new LSU shirt while we were in Louisiana too but he also got a wagon to help haul equipment when he coaches.
Stephanie and the family bought the kids a new Wii game.

Garrett got the Aydon & Ty a giftcard to Toys R Us and the younger two some fun new toys.  He bought me some Bath & Body Works and Snowboarding was Preston's gift.
John & Corey & the kids got us a maroon wagon to haul equipment when we got to the boys sporting events and the boys a sports net for them to use out on their baseball field.
I let the boys choose what kind of cookie they wanted to make and they chose to make chocolate chip cookies rather than sugar cookies like we normally do.  So after opening presents, Drew was wound up, Preston was trying to sleep but he just couldn't calm down.  I ended up having to spank Drew and send him to bed.  I did not like doing it on Christmas Even, then about 15 minutes later my sister reminded me that no one set out cookies for Santa.  I went to Drew's room so he could but he was already asleep, I felt TERRIBLE!  Zack got to set up cookies & milk instead.  Zack noticed this one looked like a heart.
Preston was called at 2am on Christmas morning.  Luckily, Santa had already come so we woke the boys up so Preston could see what the boys got from Santa.  They also had some small gifts in their stockings.  Everytime Drew wrote a letter to Santa, it had something different.  His last letter he asked for  Elf on the Shelf since they had one in their kindergarten classroom.  Unfortunately, Santa didn't get what he wanted but brought him a Red Ryder BB gun instead.  He seemed ok with it.  Zack got an Atari with 100 built in games (sad news...his tv is too advanced and the Atari doesn't work on his tv so Drew gets to put it on his tv).  Aydon & Ty got new baseball bat bags with Diamondback jackets for their upcoming season.
It always stinks not having Preston home on Christmas.  We ate with his family and then went to visit with my family after we were done eating at his parents.  Then we came home and took down the Christmas decorations.  lol...Christmas was over!  We had to since we would be leaving Monday for the LSU football game.
Early on Christmas Eve, John & Corey came out and had me take their picture to announce to everyone that they were expecting.
I was so excited to finally be able to share this exciting news!  I'd had to hold it in for way too long, haha!
They had bought us pizza on Sunday Dec 6th and this was written on the inside of the pizza box.
I had totally missed it while making the boys plates but when someone said something I was so excited jumping up and down and crying tears of joy!  I'm finally gonna have a baby niece/nephew to love on that lives in town!!!
