Ty lost his 1st tooth!

Ty woke up this morning not feeling well.  We had planned to go to Flagstaff to pick up something we had ordered and figured he would be ok.  Umm...we were wrong, he threw up before we even got on the freeway.  We pulled over to clean up and decided to give it a try still.  Not 2 minutes after going again Ty yelled he lost his tooth.  I was so worried that it fell out while he was throwing up but luckily it didn't.
Poor guy, such an exciting thing to lose your first tooth but he just didn't feel good...you can see how red his cheeks are.
He finally decided he wanted to try to eat and his brothers had to join him for some strawberries.

Gifts from Granny & Pappaw

My parents went to the valley for the weekend and brought the boys gifts back.  They got each of them a new pair of shoes...each of the boys loved them and were so excited.
Zack & Drew got new Mickey Mouse shirts.  Of course, they had to put them on immediately.
Drew had his new shirt & shoes on and he said, take a picture of me!  That's my boy!  :)  He had been riding his bike on Saturday and fell and scraped his head on the rocks.
Zack had bought this hat at Ross for .49 cents.  Everytime he wears it, he asks if we will buy him a horse.

Day off together

The boys had Monday off of school and my husband has been working like a crazy man so it was so nice to have a day home all together!  We told Aydon to check his scout book and let's check some things out of there so we planned a day together, he packed us a lunch and we went for a drove and went hiking.

Aydon was OBSESSED with snow cones this past summer.  Vickey spent a bunch of money buying him some so for his birthday she bought him his own machine.  For Valentine's day she ordered 5 different syrups for them so when we got home we made snow cones.  The boys loved it!  I felt it was still too cold for a snow cone but I'm sure when summer comes around those will be a daily thing around here!

After the last year of sharing a bed with Drew, I was ready to have some "real" sleep at night.  He is such a mover and wakes up AT LEAST once a night to get a drink.  I needed more than 3 hours of sleep at a time.  We could move him to his bed but it wouldn't take long...most times an hour or two and he was back in our bed.
With him finally having an interest in watching cartoons I've been on the search for a tv for his room.  My dad had an older one that he gave us.  When we put it in his room, he didn't leave for days.  He didn't even really watch tv that much, he sat and played with toys mostly.  I started asking him if he'd sleep in his own room now and amazingly that's all it took.  It's like just having a tv in there for noise or light was the trick that it took.  He goes and plays in there so much more now and the most important, sleeps in his own bed!!!  He occasionally ends up in my bed, which is fine because I do love his snuggles but I get much better sleep now.
He also "accidently" figured out the right way to do a thumbs up.  I'm sure gonna miss his first way.

Valentine's

Zack had his preschool party on Tuesday the 12th so on Monday me and the younger 2 tried out a new sugar cookie recipe from Pinterest.  It's the copycat to the one they sell in stores that my boys are always begging me to buy but I refuse to pay so much for only a couple of cookies.  I was amazed at how AMAZING they tasted.  I liked my other sugar cookie recipe but I'm ready to throw that one out and just keep this one.
Then, the sickness that I had been fighting for the past 2 days caught me and wiped me out for the next few days.  Yuck!  I had told Preston no presents since I hadn't left the house all week.  I decided to do something for him that I knew that he would like instead of buying him a present.
I made homemade bread bowls.  I had never had a bread bowl until recently.  Preston had some amazing broccoli soup in a bread bowl at Disneyland a few years back and I've tried the one at Red Lobster a couple of times now.  Preston loves soup and everytime I make some he always says, we just need a bread bowl now.  Again, on Pinterest I found a recipe and thought I'd give it a try since I was making some soup in hopes to make me feel better.
The bread bowl was surprisingly very easy to make and tasted so good!
With the success of the bread bowl, I got brave and attempted to make some homemade wheat bread.  Preston has always loved his Grandma Grace & his mom's bread & rolls.  He has bought me several different appliances in hopes that I would become a bread maker.  Anytime anyone gives us bread, he goes on and on about how much he loves it.  I've tried several recipes and just haven't had the luck.  A friend posted a copy of her recipe on her blog and it sounded easy enough so I gave it a try.  I loved the taste & it was a nice quick recipe.  Preston was so happy to come home from work that night and have fresh bread bowls and 3 loaves of fresh homemade bread.  So on Valentine's day, I was able to find the way to my husband's heart...through his stomach!  ;)
And once again, Preston didn't listen and bought me some beautiful flowers.  He has always spoiled me and I sure love him for that!
