We have really enjoyed the mild winter we've had this year.  It was absolutely beautiful weather today.  After church the boys went outside to play and after getting some of my church duties out of the way, I went out to watch them and decided we should roast some hot dogs & have s'mores.  Aydon is working on his Wolf achievements and one of them is to cook outdoors.  He was excited to be able to mark another thing off in his book.  Here he is roasting his marshmallows.
While Aydon was preparing everything for dinner the other boys were enjoying our new hammock that we bought in Mexico.  Preston and I bought a huge 5 person hammock on our honeymoon in Cancun and looked for one while we were in Cabo San Lucas but only found a 2 person.  It will work for now but our next trip we will search harder for a larger hammock.

Ty said, "This is the life!"

We had some miniature Reese's cups so Aydon & I used those for our s'mores.
Drew just enjoyed the graham crackers.  He tried to cook his own hot dog & marshmallow & lasted a lot longer than Zack did.
We really enjoyed our day & one of our favorite past times...we sure need to build a bigger fire pit though!

Goodbye "baby"

I am in denial right now.  My baby is growing up.  I switched him over to a twin bed last week.  He is now 18 months and everyday is saying or doing something new.  It really does make me super duper sad.  He is funny though...just like when he was crawling around and would fall asleep in the most random places, he will wake up a couple of times in the middle of the night, open his door, and go fall asleep in the middle of the floor in another room.
His personality is really starting to become, umm...what's the word I want to use...agressive.  He's a mean little boy.  He will bite his brothers when they make him mad, he hits me (hard) for no reason & is a pushy little brother.  He loves his brothers though...one of his first words was "brudder".  He said Aydon's name first, and just last week yelled Ty-Ty.  He will look at his brothers and yell their names until they give him the attention that he wants.
He loves to play catch.  That's another word that comes out loud & clear, "catch".  He has a great throw already.  None of the other boys threw this accurate or hard.  I'm hoping we have our future quarterback, I mean he does have the name Drew.  ;)
He is a daddy's boy.  He hates when daddy leaves and runs to the door and tries to follow him anytime he leaves.  He even calls me dad sometimes.
We just visited my parents for the evening and it cracked me up.  My mom says he's still a baby so she gives him a bottle of warm milk when he goes over and he knows it.  It was the first thing he did when he walked into their house.  He started doing a happy dance (literally) and took my mom to the cabinet, she lifted him up and he grabbed his bottle, & took her to the fridge to get his milk.
It has been a mild winter so him & Zack have played outside quite a bit and he loves it.  He also loves Dexter & Dexter loves him too.  He always likes to go help his brothers feed the dogs outside as well.
At his checkup he weighed 25 pounds.  Zack still had one more pound on him at this age so even though I feel like he's a chunk cause all he does is eat, he's not the biggest one I've had.  I think that's why he's a daddy's boy.  He loves to sit on daddy's lap as soon as he wakes up in the morning and they eat breakfast together.
My favorite age has always been 6-18 mos and it's so hard to see that over.
Drew throws huge fits because he wants to sit at our counter height bar on the stools and he's not big enough to do it himself.  You can see how happy it makes him to be up there.  He thinks he's big like his brothers.
This boy would wear shorts and a t-shirt everyday of his life if I let him.  Anytime I let him dress himself this is what he picks...shorts, t-shirt & his boots.  The winter coat is what makes it so funny to me.  He goes outside to play like that too.
His favorite hat right now.

Cutest Lineup

The boys got new matching Pirate Mickey shirts from their Granny for Valentine's day.  Love the shirts, LOVE these boys!

LOVE

Drew LOVES to dance to music.  This guitar plays music (the same song over, & over, & over again since they don't know how to change it) and he loves to turn it on and start dancing.  The red cowboy hat is a cute touch too.
The boys LOVE playing Hungry Hungry Hippos...all 4 of them!  I had to capture this...the first time they are all sitting down playing a game together.
Preston and I are on a roll!  We have been able to go on a date at least once a week for the past month.    That's hard stuff to do with his job and 4 kids.  LOVE the time we have been getting to spend together.  We went to Flagstaff last Friday and he bought me my Valentine's flowers early.
 A dozen red roses
AND  a pretty bouquet of mixed flowers.
We usually go to lunch for our Valentine's meal and then enjoy a candlelight dinner with the boys in the evening with our special glasses and sparkling grape juice.  Think this is the 3rd year in a row now and we LOVE our tradition we have started.  Preston LOVED our meal and said it was better than any restaurant we would've gone too.  I just know what my hubby & boys like to eat!  :)
Notice Dexter under the table with a ripped up napkin.  Do not LOVE the messes he makes.
After dinner we exchanged gifts.  Instead of buying candy or balloons this year we bought each of the boys a transformer and they all LOVED it.
Preston & I had bought some things for each other last Friday but him & the older two boys went and picked out a surprise for me after basketball practice on Tuesday.  The necklace I'm wearing.  It's a key with hearts on it and they said they chose that one because I have the key to all their hearts.  :)  I LOVE all my guys!
