Drew Student of the Month

Drew made student of the month for his class.  He is doing well and enjoys being home still.  He loves that he can make breakfast and lunch and not eat the cafeteria's food.  His teacher says he is a great online student always communicating with her and doing his assignments.

Ty's 15th

We had a small family dinner (Preston smoked us a brisket) for Ty's birthday and he's at the age now where money is the best gift so that's what he got from everyone.  He had jumped in the creek with his phone earlier in the summer and we bought a new one with him intending to pay us back for it but never did so that was his gift from us.  I would NEVER spend that much on a kid normally, that may be all his gifts for a while.  ;)
After dinner we sat out on the porch to sing and eat cake and it's so nice out there.

I used to always make homemade cakes but as life has gotten and stayed busy for us, I've had to cheat and buy cakes.  I guess Ty sent Sunshine a pin of a truffle he wanted and she made that.
He begs me all the time to take him driving in my Honda so he can get better at stick shift.  I told him he'd drive that if him and Aydon had to be in different places at the same time.
We took him for his well check just before his birthday because they weren't accepting his physical and we needed a new one for football.  Since we needed it ASAP we didn't get to use our normal pediatrician and saw the guy there and he was concerned about Ty's weight gain.  We did all the labs and tests and working on losing a few pounds and all is going well there.  He's just growing...he's experiencing Osgood-Schlatter disease in his left knee which is quite the bummer right now.
