Zack's end of the year awards included a certificate for most Clip Ups to Red (54 times), Most Book-It books read (107), & a Homework award for turning in all of his homework each week (27 weeks).

His field trip was to the movie theatre to watch "Monsters University".  He also walked to Reading Rocks & the library the last week of school.

My Best Friend

I had two best friends, Gabriel Munier & Andrew Reyes.  I like having them as friends because they're funny and always got my back.  We all had a lot in common; we were smart, athletic and funny.  Gabriel also lived out of town, like me.  (He lived by Homolovi because his dad was a park ranger)

Funny Moment: when we were listening to music and an Ariana Grande song came on and a kid in my class yelled, "Yeah! Ariana!" and we teased him about having a crush on her.

Big Changes in Fifth Grade

1. I learned geometry

2.  I learned how to multiply, diviide, add and subtract fractions & decimals

3.  I learned volume

4. I got to the Millionaire's club in the 1st quarter (by reading a million words, I wish I had that much money)  $$)

5.  I finished the Brotherband Chronicles series

6.  I started the Great And Terrible series

7.  We did rotations for the first time.  They were fun because we went between the three 5th grade classes and did acvities (Mrs. Kim Henling & Ms. Pam VanArsdale were the other teachers)

Aydon's end of the year awards included Top Math student, Honor Roll, Millionaire's club, & Exceeding on all the portions of the AIMS test last year (Reading, Math & Science).

His field trip was supposed to be to the ropes course in Flagstaff but school insurance denied it the week before so they went to Peter Piper Pizza (only allowed 2 pieces of pizza per person) & then swam at the Aquaplex.  He hit a Jackpot on a bouncing ball game and won a ton of tickets!  He loved going round and round in circles in the inner tube on the lazy river & going down the slides.

 Drew is done with Busy Bees and ready to move on to Kindergarten.  I told him he could stay home with me another year but he chose to go to school.  When I signed him up he asked if he could be in Aydon's class.

After the slideshow, showing their activities through the year, they invited up all the old Busy Bee's to sing their song one more time.  Aydon & Ty were warming up for their game so it was just Zack that got to go.  

Miss Natalie.  I loved the way Drew said her name at the beginning of the year...he got it figured out by the end of school though.  

 Miss Lani has taught all of our boys in preschool.  Ty was in Busy Bees one of those first years she did it but Aydon had Miss Lani in our little preschool group we used to do.  She's a great preschool teacher!

Granny brought Drew a graduation gift...a McDonald's gift card inside that graduation hat.  Thanks Granny!

 When I grow up, I want to be "A train driver".  

I can't believe no more kids at home!  Sad day for me!  

Here are some pictures of some of the things he did at preschool this year.

Right after Drew learned to write his name (after he wrote it 13 times for his valentine's cards) he asked how to spell DAD.  Ever since then he has been drawing Preston drawings and hanging them in his bathroom.  I got this in a text from Miss Lani that he did at preschool.  I think this is the first time he drew hands on his stick figures.

The next week I got this text from Miss Natalie.  They figured out a way to play air hockey at preschool with his buddies Benny & Coleman.

 FINALLY, for Mother's day I got a drawing and something with MOM on it.  :)

 "My mommy's eyes are pretty and her hair is brown.  I think my mommy is 60 years old.  My momm'ys favorite food is pineapple.  My mom and I like to eat pizza hut (just pizza in general...he calls all pizza 'Pizza Hut') together.  

I love his drawing of me.  He pointed out that he used purple pipe cleaner to make my bracelet because he knows that's my favorite color.  I love things like this!

I saved most of his papers and we took a few pictures to remember what he did before tossing them out.

 It's fun to see how his coloring & tracing abilities changed over the year.
